DEFENSIVE COVERAGES LEAD TO BLOW LEAD...DISSAPOINTING TIE

                                                                              GAME REPORTS 2006-2007

GAME 19 3-3 TIE AGAINST ICEHAWKS

We had em, and then we gave em two goals on coverage lapses. We need to improve there,
or we will have a short playoff run. Goals were scored by Steve Kramarck, Ben Snyder, and a
Dyn-O-Mite goal by JJ Johnson on a nice feed from Mulletor. Chris was solid in net and battled
til the final buzzer.

THREE STARS

3. Ben Snyder- Strong back checking and a pretty power play goal

2. JJ Johnson- Roofed the second goal
1 Chris Grabowski- Stood tall in goal

GAME 18 7-2 Loss to PUCKHEADS

One of these days, we'll learn to cover the cherry picker guy and we'll play a nice simple, smart game against the Puckheads. Until
then, we'll have the memories of beer, Gordie sitting on a guy, Gordon snapping a $100 twig, and more beer to make us happy. Goals
scored by Bill Lowe (goal streak!!) and Al Gallo.

THREE STARS

3. CCM- For making composite sticks that are really easy to break

2. That Guy that Gordie used as a stool...that was funny
1 Bill Lowe- Another game another goal....red hot!
GAME 17 3-1 WIN OVER HUSKIES

The Raiders came from behind to score a 5-3 victory over the ICEHOLES. This victory guarantees a winning record for the squad.
Goals were scored by Dave Reeder (sans yellow pants), Steve Kramarck (2), Gordie (which way is up) Hilts, and Bill Lowe.

THREE STARS

3. Ray Civatte- threatening to run away with the penalty title

2. Dave Reeder- Goal and assist...played 2.5 periods this time.
1 Bill Lowe- Got the insurance goal to put it away...added an assist.

GAME 16 3-1 WIN OVER HUSKIES

The Raiders jumped out to a 3-0 lead and then held on for a 3-1 victory over the Huskies. Goals were scored by Tavis Miller,
Steve Kramarck, and Nicole Warfel. Matt Williamson was solid in net, and Gordie Hilts fell a lot.

THREE STARS

3. Ben Snyder- Played D on a broken skate

2. Nicole Warfel- Got the insurance goal to secure the win.
1 Dave Reeder- Played a really strong period and had yellow pants.

GAME 15 5-2 LOSS TO PAPA RAYS

    FO LO LO LO LO

GAME 14 7-4 WIN OVER REBELS

    FA LA LA LA LA

GAME 13 5-1 LOSS TO DA CHIEFS

Sounds like this one was ugly....Hey Tavis, thanks for showing up.
GAME 12 3-2 WIN OVER LAWNQUENCHERS

The Raiders jumped out to a dominant 2-0 lead before getting sloppy for a good two periods. Nevertheless, they
withstood multiple penalties and led by the strong goaltending of Chris Grabowski, got a late goal to knock off the
talented Lawnquenchers. Goals were scored by Dan Moore, Kevin Fedoronko, and Steve Kramarck.

THREE STARS

3. Bob Colbert- Strong on the backline once again.

2. Ben Snyder- A Forechecking machine....especially late!
1 Chris Grabowski- Played really well throughout the game to keep us alive.

GAME 11 4-2 WIN OVER BEARCATS

A much closer game than the last time out against these guys. It took a little time to get going,
but in the end, the Raiders still proved too much for the Bearcats. Goals were scored by
Tavis Miller, Steve Kramarck (2), and Nicole Warfel. Chris Grabowski was uncharacteristically
strong in goal for the win.

THREE STARS

3. January Johnson- Should have had a penalty shot.

2. Chris Grabowski- Almost has those pads broken in.....almost time to buy new ones.
1 Nicole Warfel- Goal, assist, and fell down near our bench....oh yeah...and
skated barefoot in an effort to catch flesh eating virus on
                                her surgeried feet.
GAME 10 8-3 LOSS TO ICEHAWKS

Not a particularly good game as the Raiders never really matched the ICEHAWKS effort for any
extended period of time. Goals were scored by Steve Kramarck, Kevin Fedoronko, and Bob Anderson
(on another forehand goal!!!)

THREE STARS

3. Bob Colbert - Solid on the backline

2. Nicole Warfel- Traded crutches for skates and a stick, and survived!!
1 Bob Anderson- Deadly Forehand

GAME 9 6-3 LOSS TO PUCKHEADS

Game ended too late for this edition

THREE STARS

Game ended too late for this edition

GAME 8 8-3 WIN OVER THE HUSKIES

It was a strong game from beginning to end for the Raiders. Playing without their leading scorer and designated 'special'
player, the team pounded 8 goals in on the Huskies. Kevin Fedoronko led the way with 3 tallies (including a laser beam),
while Steve Kramarck, Bob Anderson, Gordie Hilts, Gordon Gaesser ('Ogre'), and Ben Snyder added markers.
Chris Grabowski played strong in net.

THREE STARS

3. Chris Grabowski- Played swell.....Neato!!!

2. Bob Anderson- A Two game forehanded goal scoring streak....Wow!
1 Kevin Fedoronko- Three goals and a penalty.....Fed rocks!

GAME 7 5-2 WIN OVER ICEHOLES

Who knew that Iceholes were Green? I always thought they were Brown. Despite some penalties from gooning it up, and some
visits (actually many visits) from the ICEMONSTER, it was a solid game for the Raiders Alumni. Zach Daub was solid in net, while
goals were scored by Ben Snyder, Kevin Fedoronko, Fred Messa, Steve Kramarck, and Bob Anderson.

THREE STARS

3. Kevin Fedoronko- Came late, brought beer, had 3 points.

2. Fred Messa- Shooting percentage wasn't great, but he did have 2 points.
1 Eric Speed- Eric played a heck of a game on defense....Too bad we are going to crush him like a bug
next week if he plays for the Huskies.

GAME 6 9-1 LOSS TO PAPA RAYS

The Raiders Alumni had a tough match up against a B team masquerading as a C team. We certainly can have
a better effort, but those guys are good. Coincidence that it was 2-0 when Tavis arrived and 4-0 when Steve arrived and
then things spiralled out of control? Kevin Fedoronko had the lone goal for the Raiders who look to rebound next week.

THREE STARS

3. Andy Emerich- I know, you are all saying who is he. Well, he is on the B team but signed in on the
C team scoresheet. He made fewer mistakes than the rest of us who actually played.

2. Dave Reeder- Dave also didn't play, but made it back from Iraq with no extra or missing limbs.
He also wore a Milwaukee's Beast jersey and brought me and Tavis beers in our special locker
     room.
1 Kevin Fedoronko- Scored a goal, brought beer. I'm not saying nuttin, but the team is un-undefeated
        since Fed returned.

GAME 5 6-2 LOSS TO THE REBELS

It was a tough night for the Raiders Alumni as they were controlled by the undefeated Rebels. The effort
that had marked the first four games was strangely absent, and was the major factor in the defeat. Goals
were scored by Tavis Miller and January Johnson.

THREE STARS

In a loss that featured breakdowns at every level, no stars were awarded. We still drank beer though.

GAME 4 4-2 WIN OVER THE CHIEFS

In the battle of unbeatens, it was the Raiders' Alumni coming from 2 goals down to beat the Chiefs 4-2. It was
a penalty filled affair that kept either team from finding a rhythm. Goals were scored by Tavis Miller (2) and
Ben Snyder (2). Strong play in net by Billy Godshalk was appreciated as well.

THREE STARS

1) Tavis Miller- 2 goals, including the game winner.
2) Ben Snyder- 2 goals (one on a great feed from their goalie) and generally gritty play.
3) Billy Godshalk- Solid in net when we needed him the most.

GAME 3 2-2 TIE WITH LAWNQUENCHERS

The Raiders Alumni faced their stiffest competition yet against the Lawnquenchers. The Raiders jumped out
to a 2-0 lead on goals from Tavis Miller, but could not put the Quenchers away. In a wild third period, the team,
led by Chris Grabowski in net, held on for the tie. Next up are the Chiefs

THREE STARS
1)Chris Grabowski- Strong in the net, only made one questionable play all night.
2) Tavis Miller- Continues to score, on and off the ice
3) Fred Messa- Solid in his first game as a Raider

GAME 2 8-0 WIN OVER BEARCATS
The Raiders Alumni started fast and never looked back, exploding for an 8-0 win over the expansion Bearcats. Tavis Miller
led the assault with 5 goals and 1 assist. Gordy Hilts added two goals, and Bob Anderson scored (on a forehand shot).
Chris Grabowski had the shutout in goal.

THREE STARS

1) Tavis Miller- He scored much.
2) Chris Grabowski- He saved much.
3) Gordy Hilts- He drank much.

GAME 1 5-5 TIE WITH ICEHAWKS
The Raiders Alumni scraped out a hard fought 5-5 tie with the Icehawks. The game was back and forth, with neither team able
to grab a 2 goal lead or hold the lead for very long. The new USA Hockey rules made a big impact in the game with 13 penalties.
Goals were scored by Ben Snyder (2), Gordy Hilts, Gordon Gaesser, and Steve Kramarck. Zach Daub made 17 saves in net
for the tie.

THREE STARS (TBA)

1) Ben Snyder- Two Goals
2) Zach Daub- Strong in Net
3) Coach Bob- Had all the right combinations on the ice.

GAME 18 5-4 WIN OVER ICEHAWKS

The Raiders Alumni head into the playoffs on a hot streak, winners of 4 of 5 and finishing with a 7-9-2 record (best ever). Goals were scored by
Tom Whitehead (3 goals on 30 shots), Tavis Miller, and Don Stockley. John Hartnett played well in net despite being a last minute call up.

THREE STARS

#3- John Hartnett-  Strong game after a long layoff

#2- Gordie Hilts-  2 assists, and HEY WATCH OUT FOR THE CORNER OF THE BOARDS!!!!! OUCH!  Looked like George of the Jungle.

#1- Tom Whitehead-  persistance pays off with 3 goals on a lot of shots.

GAME 17 5-4 LOSS TO PUCKHEADS

The Raiders shook off a bad first period and skated stride for stride with the Puckheads for the final 2 periods. Unfortunately, a defensive
gaff by Steve Kramarck with 13 seconds left led to the Puckheads winning the game late. This potential playoff matchup could be
a good one. Goals were scored by Tavis Miller (2), Eric Speed (on a breakaway), and Al Gallo. Chris Grabowski was awesome in net,
despite some heavy pressure early on. One more game before the playoffs.

THREE STARS

#3 – Tavis Miller-  2 goals

#2 – Chris Grabowski-  strong in net

#1 - Eric Speed-  Goal and Assist....good on faceoffs

Honorable mention- Rick Stoner (awesome forechecking all night)
K-Fed (for breaking up with Britney and getting an assist)

GAME 16 5-2 WIN OVER PAPA RAYS

Without their top two scorers, and biggest two distractions, The Raiders Alumni went about business and dominated Papa Rays.
Report from Bob Anderson follows....

Our game last night against Papa Rays has to be one of the finest team efforts we’ve had in a long, long time. Except
for a slightly subdued 2nd period (when Papa Ray’s scored their only two goals) both forward lines hustled in
stellar fashion, making things happen by aggressive pursuit of the puck and digging hard in the offensive end.
Our first three goals were gained through smart positioning and great passes from boards and corners to the slot.
 It was really satisfying to see scoring come from several different players. Eric and Rick got us the 1st period lead;
then Nicole netted the game-winner early in the 3rd. Our final two goals gave us breathing room for a strong
finish, thanks to Ken Deming’s skating rushes and shooting attacks from the defender position.
Chris G. was also strong in net and could have had a shutout if it wasn’t for two defensive lapses by #16 (Anderson).
THREE STARS

#3 – Fed for making things happen offensively and notching 2 assists;

#2 – Ken Deming (2 goals, 2 assists, and + 5 for the night on defense with Al Gallo)

#1 - Nicole (did everything right, scoring the GW goal plus an earlier assist, and mixing it up everywhere on the ice)

Honorable mentions: Eric, Rick and Al Gallo (also +5).

Other mentionables: Grabowski (no fights, one tooth extraction, several good stops); the entire team.

GAME 15 3-1 WIN OVER CHIEFS

The Raiders Alumni exacted revenge for the 5-0 drubbing on the Chiefs earlier in the year. The win
was a complete effort and ran the win streak to a season high 3 games!! Goals were scored by
Steve Kramarck, Bill Lowe (2 games in a row), and Gordie 'Horizontal' Hilts. Chris Grabowski was solid
in goal.

THREE STARS
3) CHRIS GRABOWSKI- Played well in net.

2) BILL LOWE- Game Winning Goal.

1) GORDIE HILTS- WATCH OUT FOR THE DUCK!!!
__________________________________________________________
GAME 14 6-4 WIN OVER REBELS

In a game that required no come-back effort, and actually got a little testy, The Raiders Alumni beat the
Rebels 6-4. Kevin Fedoronko returned from the back of a milk carton to lead the way with 2 goals and
2 assists. Bill Lowe chipped in a big insurance goal and added 2 posts and an assist. Other goals
were scored by Tavis Miller, Steve Kramarck, and Eric Speed (on a laser beam from the right circle).
Chris 'Speleng Bee' Grabowski stopped beating people up long enough to get the win.

THREE STARS
3) AL GALLO- Al was solid on the backline.

2) KEVIN FEDORONKO- 4 points!!! Welcome back from wherever you were.

1) BILL LOWE- Goal, Assist, 2 Points...no checks on teammates.

GAME 12 8-0 LOSS TO STARS
NO GAME REPORT

GAME 11 3-1 LOSS TO ING

The Raiders started the game playing from behind again, and despite working hard in the third, could not
overcome ING. The team is on a bit of a scoring slide, but the good news is that over the 7 losses this year
the average margin of defeat is just over 2 goals. This is not insurmountable....just need to start finding the
net.

THREE STARS
3) GORDIE HILTS- Picked up his first goal as a Raider

2) NICOLE WARFEL- Strong play on the boards and in 50/50 battles.....same as last game.

1) RICH CLENDENNING- Played awesome in the net to keep us in it.

GAME 10 5-4 LOSS TO REBELS

We finally scored some goals but we also played from behind all game which is very difficult and
very tiring. Goals were scored by Tom Whitehair , Tavis Miller, Ken Deming (water bottle knocker),
and Steve Kramarck.

THREE STARS
3) RICK STONER- Again, a great effort. If we can all match that effort, we'll be fine

2) NICOLE WARFEL- Strong play on the boards and in 50/50 battles.

1) TOM WHITEHAIR- Finally got that goal he was looking for, and added a few assists as
    well.

GAME 9 3-0 LOSS TO PUCKHEADS

Has anyone seen our goals? They haven't come home in days.

THREE STARS
3) BILL LOWE- Almost started a fight

2) RICH CLENDENNING- Solid in net...even when that dude squished his head

1) RICK STONER- Never gave up, and busted ass to split the D to a loose puck
       for a great scoring chance

GAME 8 3-0 LOSS TO ICEHAWKS

NO REPORT AVAILABLE

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

GAME 7 6-1 WIN OVER BRUINS

Sure they had no goalie.....but that's not our fault!!! Taking advantage of a team with an empty net (or was that Grabowski in there), the Raiders finished strong
after being played to a relatively close game through two periods. In the end, those 24 square feet of empty twine proved too much for the Bruins to overcome.
Goals were scored by Steve Kramarck (2), who finally found a goalie he could beat occasionally, Tavis Miller (who has been on the ice for every Raiders
goals against since June of 1997), Tom Whitehair, Gordon Gaesser, and Eric Speed. Eric's goal (in which the puck and he both hit the back of the net) really seemed
to take the wind out of the other teams sails.

THREE STARS
3) THE OTHER TEAMS "GOALIE"- We all hit him in the legs, groin and stomach a lot

2) GORDON GAESSER- Picked up a goal and assist

1) ERIC SPEED- Scored the most important goal of the game.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

GAME 6 5-2 LOSS TO PAPA RAYS

Actually much closer than the score indicates, with the last three goals coming in a short span. Good goaltending kept the team in the game, but
the lack of scoring is starting to catch up with us. Steve Kramarck had two goals and a pretty piroutte, but the stat of the night goes to Tavis Miller
for being a MINUS 5.

THREE STARS
3) TOM WHITEHAIR- Did not score, but had a lot of chances and looked to be getting his sea-legs back after an illness.
2) KEVIN FEDORONKO- Backchecked hard for two periods before tiring out.
1) GOALIE JOHN- I don't know his last name, but he played well and kept me from having to play goal
GAME 5 5-0 LOSS TO THE CHIEFS

Not a good game at all for anyone. We played lazy and stupid. Usually we are lazy OR stupid, but not both. Looking forward to a rematch with
this team because I think we could not only beat them, but dominate them. By the way WHO OWN DA CHIEFS

THREE STARS
3) THE POND- I would hate to have to play a game before 10:20pm this year...I don't know if my body could handle playing that early.
2) RICK STONER- Very nice beer selection.
1) BILL, GARY, TOM, and anyone else who missed this debacle.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
GAME 4 2-2 TIE WITH BUFFALO WILD WINGS

Great game that came down to the wire with the Raiders scoring late to salvage a 2-2 tie after blowing a one goal lead. Matt Williamson
was stellar late in the game to preserve the tie. Goals were scored by Rick Stoner and Steve Kramarck. For the second straight game,
Tavis Miller had a chance to be the hero, but decided to suck.

THREE STARS
3) TAVIS MILLER- The strategy is simple, by naming Tavis the third star, we are hoping to give him confidence and make him think that
he is a good player that is capable of playing at this level. We'll let you know if it works. The pink tape was nice too.
2) GARY GABRYSH- As uncommon as a solar eclipse is a Gary sighting at a game. Actually, after a long layoff Gary looked awesome
early, winning puck battles and backchecking fiercely. We hope he is just as effective when he comes back to play again in January :)
1) MATT WILLIAMSON- Matt was awesome in the 2nd and 3rd after being lulled to sleep in the 1st.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

GAME 3 6-6 TIE WITH THE REBELS

Surprisingly good game considering how much we've killed them in the past. They got solid goaltending all game and had a speedy recruit to keep our D honest.
We did a good job making up for some early problems, but couldn't quite get the job done. It doesn't get any easier with Buffalo Wild Wings around the corner.
Goals were scored by Rick Stoner (2), Ken Deming, Steve Kramarck, Kevin Fedoronko, and Tavis (E League) Miller. Chris Grabowski played goal for parts
of the second and third period :)

THREE STARS
3) Dave Reeder- In his last game before heading back to the SandyAssed Camels in the Saddam League. We wish Dave well, and look
forward to seeing pictures of the Raiders jersey hanging from a tank, or somewhere in Saddam's palace.
2) Bill Lowe- Probably the first time Bill got a star without having brought us beer. He was in the right spots all night, dished some good
passes, and had some great scoring chances. Once we '86' that brutal tape job on his stick, he might start scoring.
1) Nicole Warfel- Nicole committed a beer league sin by actually backchecking in the 3rd period when everyone else was dragging tail.
She also hunted down and lined up a Rebel for a check with about a minute left to help preserve the 'non loss'

**17th Star- Tavis Miller- Tavis stunk, but he let me borrow his power washer and a yellow sock, so he can play again next week.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
GAME 2 4-3 LOSS TO THE PUCKHEADS

Tough game against a good team, but in the end, the Raiders Alumni come up short. In all honesty, we were beaten by good ole #8. We shut everyone else
down for the most part. Goals were scored by Kevin Fedoronko (1), and Dave Reeder (2). Dave is on loan from the Saddam League in Tikrit where
he plays for the SandyAss Camels elite squad.

THREE STARS
3) Eric Speed- True, the other team scored on the play, but Eric made a great play to get back and block a sure scoring attempt.
Unfortunately, the puck ended up in the net anyway.
2) Gordie Hilts- Gordie did not show up on the scoresheet but he got his nose dirty all game doing the little things. Forechecking,
backchecking (which is illegal in most beer leagues), etc.
1) Dave Reeder- No injuries, No breakaway misses, and a couple of goals. If that doesn't get him some support in the Sunni sector/
  nothing will.

GAME 1 3-2 WIN OVER THE ICEHAWKS

Great way to start the season, with a come from behind win. Its early, and players are still learning the system (which is that
we have no system). A few more weeks of off ice work outs should help pull things together. After going down 1-0, Chris Grabowski
locked it down in net, while Steve 'High and Wide' Kramarck, Tom Whitehair, and Ken Deming notched goals for the win.

THREE STARS
3) Bob Anderson- Bob notched two assists, and made some key defensive plays near the end to preserve the win.
2) Chris Grabowski- After adjusting to the 'too slow' shots (his words, not mine), Chris looked solid in net. He also stretched
the game out by over 30 minutes with his frequent 'breaks' between whistles.
1) Tom Whitehair- Scored a nice goal to tie, and set up the go ahead goal on a beautiful feed.......played with Mario Lemieux one time too.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

PLAYOFF GAME: 6-5 Loss to Conectiv

It looked ugly early as the Raiders got down 5-1 despite scoring the first goal. A valient effort from everyone ensued and the team
to within 1 at 5-4 and then again at 6-5 before finally falling to Conectiv. Despite the loss, it might have been one of the best efforts
of the year. Goals were scored by Tavis Miller, Steve Kramarck, Kevin Fedoronko (best goal of the year....tic tac toe), Jeff Bond, and
Chris Leeder. Rich Clendening shook off the early goals to play well late.
GAME 20: 4-1 Loss to Stars

The Raiders were intimidated by the Stars new BLACK jerseys and it showed. Only mustering one late goal by Chris Leeder, the team
was never really in the game after the first period. Chris Grabowski was strong early to keep us in the game. The highlight of the game though
was Kevin Fedoronko skating his MAJOR AWARD around the rink.

3) Jeff Macaron- In all honesty, this was Grabowski's Third Star until Mac left the game to make poopy. Any player who
leaves the ice in full gear to go attempt to manuever through a messy bowel movement deserves a star.

2) Kevin Fedoronko- beer champ!

1-Chris Leeder- Scored a goal and brought COLD beer
GAME 19: 7-6 loss to Verizon

Of all of our loses, this one was the best. We played well for 75% of the game and we NEVER gave up, not even with under
10 seconds to go. Goals were scored by Tavis Miller and Steve Kramarck (2 each), Jeff Bond (on a nice breakaway), and Chris Leeder.

3) Chris Leeder- Scored a goal, won some faceoffs, wore his jersey the right way.....hit a post.

2) Tavis Miller- Scored twice, wore a yellow helmet, whiffed on a shot late in the game.

1) Jeff Bond- Skated hard, scored a goal, and (gasp) actually back checked....which we never do!!
____________________________________________________________________
GAME 18: 5-2 loss to MBNA

Good first period, not much else to say. Gary and Steve scored. Chris made some saves. Jen got checked

3) The Kid that Chris beat up last time- He was smart enough to stay home

2) Gary Gabrysh- Gary scored....Gary rocks

1) Jen Bunora- Got hit, took a penalty, played hard.
____________________________________________________________________

GAME 17: 7-3 loss to Bonafide

This was the first time in awhile that the team was outskated from beginning to end. If not for the goaltending of Matt Williamson,
this one could have been uglier. Goals were scored by Steve Kramarck, Bill Clarke(returning from injury), and Tavis Miller.

3) Ray Civatte- Brought emergency beer to cover for Grabowski

2) Chris Leeder- Blocked a shot (from Kramarck) and wore his jersey backwards for warmups.

1) Matt Williamson- Man, those pads got a workout.
____________________________________________________________________

GAME 16: 5-1 win OVER Blue Wings

Despite only having 7 guys at the beginning, the Raiders jumped on top quick and never look back as they
avenged an early season 9-1 loss to the Wings with a 5-1 domination of them. Chris Grabowski was strong in net, and the
team got goals from Tavis Miller (2), Steve Kramarck, Chris Leeder, and Jeff Bond who was called up from the minor
leagues earlier in the day. Brian 'Evilhockey' McCullough didn't score but broke a $150 stick in his first game since
signing a tryout contract.

3) Tavis Miller- 2 goals, including the first one that got us rolling

2) Brian McCullough- no points, broken stick, wore 666, and played well on D

1) Chris Grabowski- got the win, played well, and NO FIGHTS!!!
____________________________________________________________________

GAME 15: 8-4 loss to Verizon

Tough game for the Raiders as they could not match the speed of Verizon. Although we played
well in spurts, the game was never really in question. Goals were scored by Chris Leeder,
Steve Kramarck, Tavis Miller, and Jim Williamson.

3) Bill Lowe- Played all doped up on cold meds....fell into the boards.

2) Tavis Miller- 2 points and an orange pylon helmet

1) Chris Leeder- 3 points, solid on draws, and had energy to occasionally backcheck
____________________________________________________________________

GAME 14: 6-2 WIN OVER PENALTY BOX

The Raiders played a solid game from buzzer to buzzer (excepting Steve Kramarck's through the legs shot on the breakaway) and
and knocked off the undermanned Penalty Box squad 6-2. In a few rarities, there were NO goals from the defense, an entire line
scored, Kevin Fedoronko scored for the fourth game in a row, Jeff Macaron and Dave Reeder each had 2 goals, while linemate
Carl Hendry added 1.

3)Kevin Fedoronko- 4 game scoring streak? What planet did I wake up on?

2) Dave Reeder- 2 goals, not that he saw either one go in. And only one injury...when he got checked by Carl.

1) Jeff Macaron- 2 goals, ending a 6 year goalless streak!!!

GAME 13- 11-2 LOSS TO HOOTERS

Thanks to those who showed up. No report though

_______________________________________________________________________________________________
GAME 12: 7-4 LOSS TO STARS

Only 7 players, no heat, and no beer....This sucks. Goals scored by Steve Kramarck (2), Tavis Miller, and Kevin Fedoronko.

3)Carl Hendry- Broke some dudes cage

2) Tavis Miller- Played most of the game

1) Kevin Fedoronko- Scored a real nice goal.

GAME 11: 4-2 LOSS TO CONECTIV

The second half of the season started with a thud, as the Raiders lost a spirited game to Conectiv. Despite a strong first period,
the team faded late from lack of conditioning. Especially tough night for Dave Reeder who lost four major organs, and was touched
in a bad place during the course of the game. Both goals were by Steve Kramarck, but so were a penalty and a missed assignment
that led to half of the Conectiv (hey, where'd the extra 'N' in Conectiv go anyway?)

3)Bill Lowe- Won a face off late in the game and wore a really cool hat in the locker room

2) Bob Anderson- Good energy on offense and filling in for the wandering defensemen

1) Dave Reeder- Couldn't score on a breakaway for save his life, but to quote REG DUNLAP.... 'That boy took
      a savage beating!

GAME 10: 5-4 WIN OVER MBNA

The Raiders did the unthinkable and won! It was a see-saw affair with MBNA that saw a 5-4 win for the guys in Grey. Steve Kramarck
had three goals, including the winner, Tavis Miller had one, but the biggest goal came from Kevin Fedoronko (his first since 1983).
Chris Grabowski had another Chris moment in net and beat the be-jesus (is that a word) out of someone. He also racked up 19 penalty
minutes in the game, taking the lead for the season.

THREE STARS
3) Chris Grabowski- 19 penalty minutes....old time hockey!

2) Tavis Miller- Played well all night and had a pretty goal.

1) Kevin Fedoronko- He drinks beer and he scores....they don't get any more valuable than that!

GAME 9: 4-4 TIE WITH BONAFIDE

December started with a non-loss as the Raiders Alumni got their first point of the year
with a 4-4 tie to Bonafide in Tim Donnelly's last game as a Raider (unless he moves
back to town). Goals were scored from call-up Al Cox, as well as Chris Leeder,
Dave Reeder, and Tavis Miller. Chris Grabowski was solid in net.

THREE STARS
3) Dave Reeder- Scored the goal that got us the point!

2) Carl Hendry- An assist, a penalty, and went old school in playing without a helmet!

1) Tim Donnelly- An assist in his last game and he brought beer too I think. We'll miss you
ya damn Canuck...now Leeder wins the award by default..

GAME 7 and 8 LOSSES TO PENALTY BOX (7-0) and BLUE WINGS (9-1)

NO REPORTS OR STARS GIVEN

GAME 6: 6-5 LOSS TO VERIZON

Deja Vu, as the team scrambled to get up to 9 players (we were at 6 players until some late call ups materialized). The game was
fairly evenly matched, but after an early lead, the Raiders played catch up for much of the game. Goals were scored by Steve Kramarck
and Chuck Dougherty (2 each), as well as Ken Deming. Despite the loss, the team looked dapper in their new grey threads which
for some reason the referees kept calling 'GREEN'. The moral of the story is that refs shouldn't smoke crack.

THREE STARS
3) Jeff Macaron- Came late, brought beer (for a second time), and gave another stickhandling clinic.

2) Carl Hendry- Two assists and a healthy amount of body checks and collisions.

1) Chuck Dougherty- In a conditioning stint with the club, #11 looked ok. This is the first time he has received a star.
______________________________________________________________________________________________

GAME 5: 5-3 LOSS TO HOOTERS

Despite being blinded by the ugly Orange jerseys of the Hooters squad, the Raiders proved to be gamers in their latest loss.
Spotting a 5-0 lead, the Raiders reversed the season trend by playing a good 2nd and 3rd period to pull within 2 goals at the end.
Who knows, maybe next time we'll string 3 good periods together. Hats off to the hand full of regulars that showed up, as the team
had to dig into its minor league system for help from Al Cox, Jim Williamson, and Chuck Dougherty. Goals for the squad were scored
by Tavis Miller (2) and Gary Gabrysh. Chris Grabowski saw more rubber than he has since he was a used condom inspector a few years
back.

THREE STARS

3) Gary Gabrysh- He made some kind of move on his goal, I'm just not sure what it was.

2) Tavis Miller- Tavis score goals, need mullet.

1) Chris Grabowski- Yelled at us between periods and made saves.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
GAME 4: 5-2 LOSS TO DA STARS

Once again, the first period was fine, with the Raiders exiting with a 0-0 tie. Consecutive giveaways from Bob Anderson and
Steve Kramarck (twice) proved costly. Matt Williamson played well in goal again as Chris Grabowski is still on a milk carton
(or protein shake carton) somewhere. Jen Bunora and Dave Reeder scored for the Raiders.
THREE STARS

3) The FIRST PERIOD- It's been our best asset, let's give it a star.

2) Dave Reeder- Was a beast on the ice all night and got a goal to show for it

1) Jen Bunora- Blocked 25 shots and scored a nice goal on a rebound in a solid effort.

GAME 3: 8-3 LOSS TO CONECTIV

The Raiders Alumni once again played a great first period, but Conectiv's firepower proved to be hard to handle. Highlight of the game
was Chris Grabowski's brainfart (he is good for one a game) that led to the Raiders final goal. Next up is the Stars, and hopefully a win!.

THREE STARS

3) Chris Grabowski- Nice Pass Hextall!

2) Bill Clarke- almost beat up the cherry picker guy

1) Gary Gabrysh- Wasn't even supposed to play, but grabbed a goal and assist
______________________________________________________________________________________________
GAME 2: 4-2 LOSS TO MBNA

The Raiders Alumni once again dominated the first period and jumped out to a 1-0 lead. The end of the period was marred by a
carbon monoxide alarm which sent the team into a second period tailspin. Strong goaltending by Brad Hartzell kept the team in it
through 2 periods. The third period seems to be the bad luck period for the team as a few quirky goals were scored. After the
game, the team drank and talked politics (a scary mix) in the parking lot. Chris Leeder and Carl Hendry had the Raider goals.

THREE STARS

3) Bob Anderson- Looking none the worse for wear after a shoulder problem, Bob broke up numerous plays
through the course of the game.

2) Brad Hartzell- Stellar goaltending kept the team in the game through the lulls.

1) Carl Hendry- Carl was a menace on the ice....running people over (including some from the other team)...driving
hard to the net, and picking up a big goal in the third period.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________

GAME 1: 4-3 LOSS TO BONAFIDE

The Raiders came out strong and built a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Tim Donnelly and Steve Kramarck. The team looked sluggish
in the second period, but still came out of it with a 2-1 lead. The third period is where the wheels fell off. A questionable penalty call led
to a power play goal. This was followed by a goal that was knocked in with a hand, and a goal that was swatted in with a high-stick.
The never say die Raiders fought back and got to within one on a Chris Leeder laser, but eventually ran out of time. All in all, a strong
showing against a legitimate B team.

THREE STARS

3) Matt Williamson- Matt (sporting the old 70s pads) was stellar in net and kept us in the game through our 2nd and 3rd
                                      period lulls.

2) Jeff Macaron- The last time we saw Mac on the ice a few years back, he was bleeding like a sieve. He looked strong
tonight and even made a sprawling 'Brad Marsh' shot block late in the game

1) Chris Leeder- Despite an apparant lack of conditioning (he elected to 'defer' a breakaway early in the game), Chris
had a goal and assist, was strong on faceoffs, and cussed out a ref near the end of the game.

                                                                                                    2003-2004

CHAMPIONSHIP-  12-2 Win over BRUINS

The Raiders came out from the opening faceoff and played a near flawless game.  All but three players registered points!  Goals were scored by Tavis Miller (4), Jeff Bond (2), Jim Williamson (2), Chris Leeder (2), Ken Deming, and Kevin FedoronkoChris Grabowski was solid in net, and the defense played well.  Next up for the team is a parade down CHOATE ST. and a ceremony (including the presentation of the key to the city) on WILBUR ST.  After that, its much beer.

THREE STARS
With such a great win, it is hard to award stars....In lieu of that, we've presented reasons why each person who played was NOT one of the three stars.

CHRIS GRABOWSKI-  Looked weak on that Ken Deming goal at the buzzer
STEVE KRAMARCK- No points in a 12 goal game?  That's bad.
MIKE CAMPBELL- Two penalties and got caught napping with an open net.
KEN DEMING- What kind of player throws a head fake on his on goalie (at least he didn't do the Curly Shuffle after the goal)
BOB ANDERSON- Bob could have had a goal if he didn't bank it off of Jimmy
RAY CIVATTE- Snuck some Bud Light in with our Molsons!  Didn't bring celebratory strippers for us either.
TAVIS MILLER- Orange Helmet??
JEFF BOND- Jeff scored two goals which means we couldn't yell at him much, that is a bad thing.
JIM WILLIAMSON- 2 penalties and HE SMELLS REALLY BAD!
KEVIN FEDORONKO- Didn't score at the buzzer this time
CHRIS LEEDER- Won less than 90% of his faceoffs

PLAYOFF #2    6-1 Win over ING DIRECT

The Raiders advanced to the 'special' championship with a 6-1 drubbing of ING Direct.  The game was actually much closer, and the Raiders didn't pull away until late in the contest.  Chris Grabowski was strong in net, while the team got 2 goals each from Jeff Bond and Tavis Miller.  Al Cox and Kevin Fedoronko capped the scoring.  Next up, its the Bruins on Tuesday...tickets still available.  The teams split the season series 1-1-1.

THREE STARS
1) JEFF BOND-   Jeff had two goals and won a face off.
2) CHRIS GRABOWSKI-  Chris was solid in goal, and kept us from getting flustered in the defensive end.
3) TAVIS MILLER- Two goals, no shenanigans.

PLAYOFF #1    4-3 Win over STARS

Sloppy game ,but we held on to BARELY win in the end.  Let's bring a championship to (insert home town here).  How bout Fed showing he is worth more than just a few beers in the lockerroom with 2 goals.  Tavis, thanks for not doing the Curly Shuffle this time.

THREE STARS
1) KEVIN FEDORONKO-  2 goals?  Are you kidding me?   How many beers?
2) CHRIS GRABOWSKI-  2 games in one night?  He was sharp when we needed him!
3)TAVIS MILLER-  Tavis scored....he is the coolest

GAME 21  (8-2 Loss to COMCAST)

That wasn't your momma's Comcast....they looked strangely different.

THREE STARS
1) MATT WILLIAMSON-  Last minute call up did great!
2) JEFF BOND-  Goal and assist, ice time controversy, and some play on defense.
3)TAVIS MILLER-  He still sucks, but he did the Curly Shuffle when he scored.

GAME 20  (4-1 Loss to BRUINS)

We Got A Lotta Losses!!!!!

THREE STARS
1) KEN DEMING-
 Didn't completely suck
2) CHRIS LEEDER- Brought beer
3)RAY CIVATTE-   Ray and Jon Raiford are the only two that didn't screw anything up  :)

GAME 19  (6-3 Loss to BONERFIDE)

The called us names.....CHALLENGED THE CHIEFS!!!!

THREE STARS
1) KEN DEMING-
More goals and the MVP lead suddenly!!
2) JOE BAKER-  Pushed a guy into the bleachers, stole his glove?, and drank beer....busy night
3)RAY CIVATTE-   Ray Proves that if a shot is on net, it might go in.

GAME 18  (3-3 TIE with BRUINS)

Ok, now we're out of the playoff race.....BUT.....  We didn't lose and we still had beer.

THREE STARS
1) KEN DEMING-
All these goals lately.....a freakin Bobby Orr!
2) JIM WILLIAMSON   A Jimmy hattrick last night...Consists of a goal, a stupid penalty, and a 4 minute shift!  Girls and teammates alike call him "FOUR MINUTE JIM"
3) THE POST-  Let's face it....the Post saved the tie for the BROONS

GAME 17  (3-1 Loss to PLANET HONDA)

Despite peppering Planet Honda with shots, the Raiders could not take advantage of the shorthanded team and lost 3-1.  This puts a damper on playoff hopes, but we are not out of it yet....I don't think?

THREE STARS
1) MIKE CAMPBELL-
Brought beer even though it wasn't his night.
2) RAY CIVATTE-  Ray was solid on the backline all night.
3) KEVIN FEDORONKO-  Kevin made a tape to tape pass leading to a big goal, late in the game (for the other team)

GAME 16  (5-2 Loss to VERIZON)

The Raiders suffered a huge loss, 5-2 against Verizon.  The game was tied for a large portion, but a late burst by Verizon put a serious crimp on the red team's playoff hopes.  Goals were scored by Tavis Miller and Steve Kramarck.  Next up is a game with Planet Honda

THREE STARS
1) JON RAIFORD-
Picked up an assist, threw some dude's stick, and brought a hockey ball that my kid played with.
2) KEN DEMING-    Checked some dude so hard, his stick flew out of the rink....that was cool
3) THE BLUE LINE NEAR OUR BENCH-  Knocked Tavis and Bob down.....that was funny

GAME 15  (8-2 Loss to BLUEWINGS)

The Raiders pulled out a clunker and for one of the few times, just didn't appear motivated to put a good showing out.  Playoff hopes are fading, but still are possible.  Jeff Bond and Chris Leeder had the goals.  Next up is Verizon on Saturday.

THREE STARS
1) KEN DEMING
-  One of a handful that played hard from beginning to end, despite score.
2) CHRIS LEEDER-  Chris kept skating all game, and got us our tying goal (at 1-1)
3) MIKE CAMPBELL-  Despite having the opposition coming in waves, Mike stayed strong on the backline

GAME 14  (5-4 Win over ING DIRECT)

The Raiders jumped out to a 5-1 lead and try as they might, were unable to give the victory away.  The team now begins an improbable, but possible push towards the playoffs.  Steve Kramarck had 2 goals and 2 assists, while Jeff Bond had two goals and Tavis Miller had a goal and an assist for the Raiders.

THREE STARS
1) JEFF BOND
-  Scored the important 1st and 4th goals
2) KEN DEMING- Ken's play....specifically on the last shift iced the win.
3) TAVIS MILLER- Had a yellow helmet and brought Beer

GAME 13   (4-2 Loss to STARS)

Despite goals by Tavis Miller and Chris Leeder, the squad was outskated again and fell 4-2 to the Stars.  Steve Kramarck again proved to be a defensive liability and should be traded/waived.

THREE STARS
1)
TAVIS MILLER- Scored a goal or something
2) KEN DEMING/MIKE CAMPBELL- Provided good defensive presence when their partners got caught out of position
3) JEFF BOND- Won a face-off or something
29 TH STAR) STEVE KRAMARCK-  Was responsible for the 3rd and 4th goal against and sent a guy to the hospital with his bad play.

GAME 12   (6-4 Win over COMCAST)

A rare instance with a full bench led to a hard fought 6-4 win over a speedy and scrappy Comcast squad.  Tavis Miller and Jeff Bond each had 2 goals and 2 assists.  Steve Kramarck netted the game winner on a drive from the point in the 3rd period and Chris Leeder added the other goal off a beautiful kick pass from Jeff Bond.  Chris Grabowski was strong in net, making 41 saves.  He also got some good punches in after the final buzzer in a brief melee.  Next up are two winnable games with the Stars and ING Direct.  Can the team claw back into the upper half of the division?

THREE STARS
1) CHRIS GRABOWSKI-
Stood on his head for two periods before fatigue got to him in the third period.
2) JEFF BOND- 2 goals and the beautiful kick pass assist for the 'lanky' Mr. Bond
3) TAVIS MILLER-  Black hair, yellow helmet, 2 goals, 2 assists....YOU MY BOY BLUE (What the 'F' does that mean?)

GAME 11   (4-4 Tie with PLANET HONDA)

See what happens when we have 2 lines?

THREE STARS
1) TIM DONNELLY.
Tim celebrated BOXING DAY in style (Canadian reference) with two goals, and takes the lead in the
       M.V.C. race (Most  Valuable Canuck)
2) DREW MILLER   On a conditioning stint from the Wilmington league, Drew had three points and no fights lost.
3) JEFF BOND   Jeff returned from some island somewhere and had two assists!

GAME 10   (3-1 Loss to VERIZON)

Once again, a short bench led to losing a game that we should have won.  Too tired to compete in the third.   Kevin Fedoronko had the lone goal.

THREE STARS
1) MIKE CAMPBELL
This was an easy choice.  Mike did not play in the game due to his part time towing service, but he showed up in the third period with the beer.
2) KEVIN FEDORONKO   Scored the only goal on a rip from the top of the face off dot
3) CHRIS LEEDER   Looked good all night, especially in the face off circle.

GAME 9   (6-5 Win over B1 MUDDY WINGS)  **in all honesty, probably a forfeit loss

A.P.B. on Chris Leeder (cruise), Tim Donnelly (Business trip), Al Cox (sick), Jon Raiford (sick), Brian McCullough (sick), Joe Baker (Injured), Gary Gabrysh (kidnapped), Bob Anderson (injured), Jim Williamson (working)....These are the players who were missing for one reason or another.  Paul Pipke got called up from minor league Mioga and was able to perform adequately (if 5 goals and 1 assist is adequate).  Mike Campbell got on the scoreboard with an assist, and Tavis Miller scored 1 goal and 1 assist, and had burgundy hair for the game.  Chris Grabowski stopped 41 in net.

Next up, its back to B2 for a game with Verizon.

THREE STARS
1)
BEER-  Easily the most valuable player through the first half of the year.  Beer is the reason we play...in fact I am drinking one now.
2) PAUL PIPKE- Would have been first star if not for those ugly, hideous, puke/urine green pants.  Hasn't missed a step since his last assignment.
3) CHRIS GRABOWSKI- 41 saves, a new Underarmour shirt, new pads on the way too.  Now if only he can stop letting in the Hextall-like floaters.

GAME 8   (5-2 Loss To BLUEWINGS)

The short handed Raiders came off the break and looked awesome for a period and a half but simply couldn't solve Blue Wings goalie Bryan Sheftz.  By the time they put one in the net, they were tired and behind to a hard skating opponent.  It doesn't get any easier, as undefeated Muddy Wings (B1) are salivating in anticipation of the next game.  Can the Raiders shock the world?  We'll see.  Both Raider goals were scored by Tavis 'I dyed my hair blackish red' Miller.

THREE STARS
1)
TAVIS MILLER-  Bad hair dye job, nice goals
2) JIM WILLIAMSON- Jimmy skated hard both ways all game.  Puck handling was a different story.  Plus, he got new socks
3) BOB ANDERSON -It only lasted a few shifts, but it was great to see Bob back...here's hoping his setback is nothing major

GAME 7-    4-3 Loss to MBNA (B1)

The Raiders gave B1 team MBNA a run for their money.  Only a few posts and missed chances kept the squad from a major upset.  Chris Grabowski shook off a long first goal to play a stellar game.  Jon Raiford provided some solid work on the boards, and the team played well as a whole.  Goals were scored by Evilhockey McCullough (2) who also sent the MBNA goalie to the emergency room apparently, and Steve Kramarck.  Next up is a B2 game against the Bluewings.

THREE STARS
1)
JON RAIFORD-  Jon was strong on the puck and his passing led to two important goals.  Plus, he volunteered to bring beer 2 games for next game
2) CHRIS GRABOWSKI- Really in a groove right now...his head save late in the game was huge...and he brought BEER
3) EVILHOCKEY- Only warrants the third star because of his non-conformist jersey.  2 goals, a few posts, and a hurt goalie lead to third star honors.

GAME 6-    5-4 Loss to Bona Fide

The Raiders lead late in the game but could not put away Bona Fide Mortgage in a physical, but fairly clean contest.  The early goaltending of Chris Grabowski kept the Raiders in it.  Despite a late goal from Al Cox, the team could not hold on and dropped their second straight.  Other goals were scored by Kevin Fedoronko and Steve Kramarck (2).

THREE STARS
1)
QUINTON KRAMARCK- You have to respect a kid that wears a Canucks throwback (the V jersey) while watching Daddy's team get bitch slapped
2) CHRIS GRABOWSKI- Stellar for the first two periods, solid in the third....kept us in the game.
3) TAVIS MILLER- Not because of his assist, but because of his wise decision to NOT fight, despite being locked up with an opponent.  Nobody wanted to take T to the hospital after yet another lost fight, so we appreciate his decision.

GAME 5-    11-5 Loss to Conectiv(B1)

Paul Pipke was involved in 9 goals as Conectiv routed the Raiders 11-5.  The team was playing the first game in its out of division schedule and performed admirably when Pipke was not on the ice.  Carl Hendry returned from a long goaltending layoff, one night after blacking out on the ice...never a good pregame sign.  Goals were scored by Chris Leeder, Jeff Bond, Jim Williamson, Steve Kramarck, and Ken Deming.

THREE STARS
1)
TAVIS MILLER-  Three assists and a yellow helmet....You my boy Blue?
2) JIM WILLIAMSON-  Jimmy grabbed a goal and assist and was generally strong on the puck
3) THE PUCK- In lieu of a player, we decided to honor a piece of rubber, without which, hockey does not happen.  Without the puck, what would be turnover, mishandle, lose control of, shoot wide, trip over, etc?  For all you do, Mr. Piece of Vulcanized Rubber, we salute you!

GAME 4-    8-4 Win over Bruins

The Raiders Alumni stormed out to a 6-2 lead and coasted to a 8-2 victory over the winless Bruins.  Mark the calendars as this is the first time that the team is over .500 this year...we can't guarantee this occurring again.   Scoring was started by that Canuck Chris Leeder, followed up by goals from Ken Deming, Kevin Fedoronko (2), Tim Donnelly (now the second highest scoring toque wearer on the squad), Gary Gabrysh, Tavis Miller, and Jimmy WilliamsonChris Grabowski was strong in net for the squad.  Next up is B1 Division studs Conectiv.  Rumor has it, that this is a grudge match because the star of the Conectiv squad thinks we disrespected him and wants to run guys.....we'll see.

THREE STARS
1)
KEVIN FEDORONKO-  He gets the nod over Jim Williamson just on beer drinking alone.  His 2 goals didn't hurt though
2) JIM WILLIAMSON-  Jimmy with his first ever four point night including the all important 8th goal
3) AL COX- What doesn't this Derrick Smith clone bring to the team, 3 assists and gritty play tonight

GAME 3-   4-4 Tie with PLANET HONDA

The Raiders Alumni blew a three goal lead and stumbled to a tie with previously (and still) unbeaten Planet Honda.  Jim Williamson got the scoring started with a 'Gretzky-esque' breakaway shot through the five hole.   That was quickly followed by another Al Cox tally.  The second period started with Tavis Miller depositing a Steve Kramarck feed.  After allowing 1 goal, the Raiders stormed back with a Jeff Bond centering pass that hit all 14 Planet Honda players before stumbling over the goal line.  The 4-1 lead was short lived, as Planet Honda's powerful skaters ate away at the lead until a pass from behind the net was booted into his own goal by Drew MillerChris Grabowski preserved the non-loss with an awesome save on an Andy Emerich breakaway.  A penalty by Steve Kramarck with 10 seconds left opened the door for Planet Honda, but the Raiders were able to hold on for the tie.  Next up are the winless Bruins.

THREE STARS
1)
CHRIS GRABOWSKI- Solid all game, and his bicep save on the Andy Emerich breakaway was clutch
2) AL COX-  Al's veteran presence has invigorated this rag tag bunch.  A goal and assist for the Klatt of the team
3) JIM WILLIAMSON- Nice breakaway goal, drew a penalty, and skated hard.  He still smells awful though.

GAME 2-   7-4 Victory over COMCAST

The Raiders Alumni fought from deficits of 2-0 and 3-1 before finally taking the lead on a Steve Kramarck blast off the crossbar.  The team promptly let Comcast tie the score before Jeff Bond notched the game winner with just under 8 minutes to go.  Chris Grabowski was strong in goal, with many timely saves....putting WATERBOTTLE-GATE behind him once and for all.  Drew Miller looked rough in his minor league assignment.  Goals were scored by Steve Kramarck (2), Al Cox (on a beautiful one timer from Jeff Bond), Gary Gabrysh (welcome back to the scoresheet big guy!),Jeff Bond,  Tim Donnelly, and Jon Raiford (who averaged a goal a period).  Next up is a grudge match with Planet Honda (its the next planet after Uranus.....or is that Tavis'anus?)

THREE STARS
1)
JEFF BOND-  Beautiful pass on the Cox goal, and notched the game winner.
2) CHRIS GRABOWSKI- Solid between the pipes....didn't even yell at Drew for barreling into him
3) AL COX- Veteran 'Peter White' style leadership, and a big goal on a pretty shot.

GAME 1-   8-6 Loss to STARS

The Raiders Alumni fought from a few goals down a few times to tie this game up at 6.  After going down 7-6 on a goal from the slot, the team left it's goaltender out to dry by neglecting to rag the puck long enough for Chris Grabowski to "Get His Drink On".  A blast from the opposing blueline iced it for the Stars.  Overall, nobody puked, nobody yelled at each other, and we drank 22 beers afterwards.  Goals were scored by Al Cox (after having one disallowed and hitting one crossbar), Steve Kramarck (on a blue line bullet), Tavis Miller  (the flatulent one) with 2, Jeff Bond (finishing off a great breakaway pass from Ken Deming shorthanded), and Chris Leeder (our newest Canadian Import).    Next up is a battle with Comcast....lets hope they leave the High Speed at home.

THREE STARS
1)
TAVIS MILLER-  His back to back goals in the second got us back into it.
2) AL COX-  Al looked like Johnny LeClair out there....not sure if that is good or not
3) KEN DEMING- Solid D and a wonderful breakaway pass on the goal that pulled us to within one.
